Description

This recently renovated farmhouse is situated in the outskirts of Montbrun-les-Bains, a beautiful village listed as one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France. This part of the Provence has still kept is Provencal character.  It is an unforgettable place with the numerous lavender and cornfields: it is the Pays de la lavande. Picturesque villages such as Reilhanette, Brantes and Savoillan are at small distance. Biking lovers will be attracted by the Géant de Provence: the Mont Ventoux. Every year thousands of cyclists try to reach the top of this respected mountain. The holiday house lays in the middle of the nature on a property of 15.000m2 with a panoramic view on the mountains. Shops are nearby though (2km).

 

The holiday house is divided in 4 connected houses (from 30m2 up to 80m2)  each with its own entrance, living room, kitchen, bedrooms and terrace and is therefore ideal for several families or a group of friends who want to spend some holidays together but want to have some privacy as well. The entrances  as well as the terraces are all situated on the backside of the house, except for part 4 which has the entrance and terrace on the side. They are all connected though separated by a small fence. The farmhouse is connected with the owners' house but certainly gives enough privacy.

 

The large swimming pool is at only 20 meters from the house in the middle of the fields and offers an  incredible view on the surrounding mountains. The surrounding fields are perfect for having great meals all together while listening to the chirping of the cigales and watching the sun going down in colourful Provence.

 

Part1 (30m2, 2 persons): This is the smallest part of the holiday house. Via a small corridor you enter the fully equiped kitchen which is also used as a living and dining area. You will find a table with 4 chairs, and a TV. The whole house has got WiFi connection. The simple but comfortable bedroom offers a sleeping place for two persons with a two persons bed (140cm). A separate bathroom with toilet, hand basin and shower is connected to the bedroom.

Part2 (63m2, 4-6 persons): This part has got a large living room  (provided with a couch and a table with 7 chairs) and a fully equiped open kitchen. The terrace doors with a French balcony give a lovely view on the fields and surrounding mountains. The two bedrooms, situated on the first floor, offer enough comfort and space. One is equiped with three one person beds (each 90cm) and the other with a two persons bed (140cm) and a side board. A 'lit gigogne'  (extendable bed) in the living room offers a sleeping place for one more person. The toilet is separated from the bathroom (with shower, hand basin and washing machine).

Part3 (67m2, 4-6 persons): This part offers the same comfort and space as part 2 with a large living room (table with 6 chairs and couch) and a fully equiped open kitchen. The terrace doors with a French balcony give a lovely view on the fields and surrounding mountains. The two bedrooms are situated on the first floor: one is provided with two one person beds (each 90cm) and a dresser, the other bedroom is equiped with a two persons bed (140cm) and a dresser as well. A 'lit gigogne'  (extendable bed) in the living room offers a sleeping place for two more persons. The bathroom (with shower, hand basin and washing machine) and independant toilet are on the same floor as well.

Part4 (85m2, 8 personnes):  The largest part of the house and specially made for people with reduced mobility.  Not only the living room, equiped with a table with 8 chairs, and the fully equiped open kitchen are situated on the ground floor, one of the bedrooms with a large bathroom  (shower and toilet) is situated on the ground floor as well. The bedroom is provided with two one person beds (90cm). All entrances are large enough for wheel chairs. The other bedrooms are situated on the first floor: two bedrooms are equiped with a two persons bed (140cm) and one with two one person beds (90cm). All bedrooms have a dresser. You will find a second bathroom with shower and separated toilet on the first floor.

 

Montbrun-les-Bains, a small village at the border of  Drôme provençale and Vaucluse, has still kept its medieval character. The high houses, some with six or seven floors, one piled up the other are build up to the mountain on the rocks, and supported by high stony walls and impressive columns. At the top, the towers of the ruin dominate the impressive Renaissance castle. The view from the historical part of Montbrun at the level of the castle, is fantastic: it has got a panoramic view on the plain and surrounded forest  mountains with at a distance the lovely village of Reilhanette, built on a hill with its castle ruins on top. Certainly a must-see!
